Guide

Finding your way
around WiWi.

The same quick tour that runs inside the app, kept here so you can come back to it. Start with the screen you are using.

On a television

Nine steps, and then everything the remote does on one card. Inside the app you can replay this any time from Settings → Tutorial.

01

Video news, made for TV

WiWi gathers video news and live channels from your country and the world, sorts them into channels, translates the headlines and keeps them fresh all day. No subscriptions. Nothing to set up.

  • Free — no account needed to watch
  • Picked for your country, from Local to World
  • New videos land every few minutes
02

Everything is three columns away

The screen is always three columns: categories on the left, the channels of a category in the middle, and the videos on the right. Move right to go deeper, move left to come back.

  • ▶One step deeper: category → channels → videos
  • ◀Back to the menu — exactly where you left it
  • ▲▼Move up and down inside a column
03

Categories open by themselves

Rest on a category and its channels slide out — no OK needed. Local is the news of your country; the rest are the world, business, tech, music, sport and more. The WiWi logo at the top is always Home.

  • ▲▼Browse categories — the channel list follows you
  • LocalYour country's news, in one place
  • WiWiThe logo is Home — every channel from the top
04

Press OK and watch

Every card shows the source, the headline and how fresh it is — from “now” to hours ago. Live streams carry a LIVE badge. Under each channel the next one continues, so you can keep scrolling as long as you like.

  • OKPlay the focused video
  • BACKReturn to the row you were watching
  • ▼Keep going — channels continue below
05

Inside the player

While a video plays, Left and Right jump to the previous or next video. Hold them to seek — 10 seconds for the first three steps, then a minute at a time. OK pauses and resumes; Back brings you home.

  • ◀ ▶Previous / next video
  • hold ◀ ▶Seek: three 10-second steps, then a minute at a time
  • OKPause / resume
  • BACKClose the player
06

Hold OK to keep it

Long-press OK on any video to open its quick actions and choose Add to Favorites. The Favorites row always sits at the bottom of Home, and the heart in the menu jumps straight to it. Changed your mind? Clear them all from Settings.

  • hold OKQuick actions: Add to Favorites and more
  • ♥The heart in the menu jumps to your list
  • HomeThe Favorites row is the last row on Home
07

Your channels, your podcasts

In Settings you choose your Region and Language, switch channels on or off for each country, and pick podcast shows one by one. Whatever you leave on is what you see on Home.

  • My Channels — on or off, per country
  • My Podcasts — follow only the shows you like
  • Region & Language — switch any time
08

Sign in once, every screen follows

Sign in with Google by scanning a QR code with your phone. Your favourites, channel choices and podcasts then sync to your account — and to the WiWi phone app — so every screen shows the same WiWi.

  • Settings → Sign In, then scan the QR code
  • Favourites and channels sync automatically
  • The same account works in the WiWi phone app

Signing in is optional — WiWi works fully as a guest, and as a guest nothing leaves your device. What changes when you sign in is set out in the Privacy Policy.
